These three forums go hand in hand with eachother, and will try to be seperated.
The Character Creation forum is the forum you go to first, the one where you think up the Role Playing Game, or interactive story. After you think it up, it's time to recruit some characters. If it's a private RPG(Meaning only you and a few others that you specify are permitted to join and play), PM someone and ask if they want to join, if it's a public RPG(Meaning that it is open, and anyone can join and play), ask for new characters. People will create thier characters, and give them their appearance, apparel, and different abilities. You must have anough characters in this early stage in order to be able to play, and make another in the Role Playing Forum.
The Role Playing forum is the forum where you do the actual role playing. Whether it's a Game Master thingy, or a story telling thing, it goes here, and gets played by the people who want to play it.
The OoC Discussion forum is the forum where you make a third topic for talking Out of Context (OoC). This forum is here for any big OoC posts that you need to make, concerning the story. However for small OoC things, you should put them in your post in the Role Playing forums, as long as you include a BiC part of your post as well(Back in Context). Like so:
OoC: My internet is getting screwed up, so I might not be on for a little while.
BiC: Morgan Fired his fireball at the Mighty dragon, felling him with the dagger he had hidden in it, for he had hurled it at the Dragon's eye. He then took out the dagger, and sliced off 3 claws, and took the treasure the dragon was guarding etc. etc. etc.
This way of posting has worked for me in the past, and if you want to do a Role Play, it should be able to work for you too. |
